Maitum opens cultural showcase and agro-trade fair

Soldier tops Fun Run of Binuyugan Festival

MAITUM, Sarangani (May 4, 2012) – Pfc. Nul Ambaih of the 73rd Infantry Battalion finished first in the male category of Binuyugan Festival’s 5K Fun Run for the Environment Thursday, May 3. Other winners were Pfc. Lalona of 73rd IB, 2nd place; and PSI Arnold Montesa of Maitum Police Station, 3rd place. Binuyugan Festival’s youngest fun run finisher

MAITUM, Sarangani (May 4, 2012) – Christian Josh R. Sales, 7 years old, the youngest 5K Fun Run for the Environment participant, prepares to plant a Molave seedling along the bank of Pangi River after he finished the 5-kilometer run way ahead of some older runners Thursday, May 3. Sales has participated in several fun run activities in General Santos City. 5K Fun Run for Environment opens Binuyugan FestivalMAITUM, Sarangani (May 4, 2012) – Fun run finishers pose in front of the Maitum Municipal Hall after coming back from the finish line during the 5K Fun Run for the Environment organized by the Maitum Advocates for Sustainable Environment (MASE), KABALIKAT, and the municipal government as the opening salvo of the 13th Binuyugan Festival Thursday, May 3. Right after they reached the finish line in Pangi Bridge, the 230 participants planted Molave seedlings along the riparian zone of Pangi River.
